Independence Day

As we think of today, our Independence Day, consider also the information security and cyber security professionals who guard our company borders from the cyber-criminals and cyber-terrorists.  Just as our country stood up to tyranny in its infancy, so must we stand against organized forces bent on stealing our information and thwarting our progress.  There are no sidelines to sit on or sanctuary in this globalized world.  Vigilance is called for and the courage to defend what we have created; each company, entrepreneur, employee and investor is a stakeholder in our knowledge economy and a steward of the data they possess, protecting it against data breaches.  Information security is not elective, it’s essential.  Please ponder this as you celebrate our Independence Day.   God bless America.

  1. I like your Independence Day post. I’ve never heard anyone ask for us to remember information security professionals.
